CasaClima R certified project

Studio Calia oversaw the development of a dental clinic through an integrated approach combining architectural, mechanical, and energy design. The project aimed to reduce energy consumption and improve overall efficiency, ultimately achieving CasaClima R certification, a mark of quality and sustainability for refurbished buildings. The insulation of both the opaque and transparent building envelope was carefully designed to limit heat losses and ensure comfort throughout all seasons. High-performance window frames and solar shading systems were installed to regulate summer heat gains. From a systems engineering perspective, the clinic is equipped with a heat pump for domestic hot water production and an all-air system with active and passive heat recovery, supplemented by split units to meet residual demand. This combination of innovative solutions ensures energy efficiency, indoor comfort, and reduced environmental impact.
